DESCRIPTION:Dates: Tuesdays\, Oct 28 & Nov 4\, 2025 \nTwo Evenings on Atiśa’s Special Instructions of the Middle Way \nJoin us for two evenings of teaching\, meditation\, and dialogue based on Atiśa Dīpaṅkara’s Special Instructions of the Middle Way. \nAtiśa (982–1054) was a renowned Indian master whose arrival in Tibet marked a turning point in the development of Tibetan Buddhism. His\nsynthesis of profound Madhyamaka insight and accessible\, step-by-step instruction laid the foundation for the Kadampa tradition and deeply influenced later schools such as the Gelug. \nThese evenings will explore two central themes from Atiśa’s instructions: the emptiness of inherent existence and the luminous\, knowing quality of mind. Far from being abstract philosophy\, these teachings offer a practical path to transformation—training us to see through fixed perceptions while remaining grounded in clarity and presence. \nEach session will include guided meditation\, a teaching on a selected passage from Atiśa’s instructions\, and time for reflection and discussion. Open to beginners and experienced meditators alike\, these sessions are an invitation to connect with the heart of Atiśa’s Middle Way and peer deeply into the open-ended\, and free nature of all things \nCome explore how emptiness and luminosity are same nor different\, and how this realization can bring freedom and compassion into daily life. \nOpen door\, open heart.
