    Every Wednesday, June 4, 2025 - October 29, 2025, No class on June 11, 2025, In Person and Zoom In this course Geshe Thubten Sherab will provide a commentary on the Extensive Highest Yoga Tantra Sadhana practice of Yamantaka. Prior empowerment of Yamantaka is required in order to attend. By attending you certify that you have previously received such an empowerment. Geshe-la will give a step-by-step explanation of the complex structure, visualizations, and details of the sadhana in order to help students understand the purpose, significance and meaning behind this tantra practice. Participants will learn how to strengthen their connection with their tantric commitments, ensuring that their practice is both correct and sustainable. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper appreciation of the transformative potential of Yamantaka and be equipped with the tools to engage in the practice with confidence, clarity, and devotion.     Dates: Weekly on Thursdays, ongoing This is a precious opportunity for FPMT students, staff, and volunteers across North America to gather in unity, generating collective merit and deepening our regional community bonds. These practices are led by rotating facilitators from centers and projects throughout the region. Join us each Thursday morning for a short but powerful 30-minute collective practice which will include a rotating schedule of: Chanting the Names of Manjushri for Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s Auspicious Return Tang Tong Gyalpo’s Prayer to Avert War, Epidemics, and Famine Reciting Mani mantras and His Holiness’ long life prayer

  • Beginning the Bodhisattva’s Journey

    Dates: Thursdays, July 3 - 31st This course introduces new students to the Bodhisattva ideal through the lens of the Six Perfections (pāramitās). Each session focuses on practical, real-life applications of these qualities—generosity, ethical living, patience, joyful effort, meditation, and wisdom—as a natural extension of inner clarity. Students explore how these qualities can guide their responses to relationships, work, and social challenges. Rather than approaching Buddhism as an abstract philosophy, this course emphasizes integration into contemporary Western life. Students will learn to recognize how ancient wisdom traditions can address modern concerns, such as work-life balance, digital overwhelm, consumer culture, and social responsibility.     Once a month, on the eighth of the Tibetan month, we perform The Four Mandala Offerings to Cittamani Tara. She is known as the liberator from the fears of samsara and is an embodiment of enlightened action, one of the three essential qualities of a buddha (the others being wisdom and compassion).
