We are thrilled to welcome Venerable Losang Dondrub as the new center manager at the Buddhist Center Thubten Norbu Ling. He recently moved from Washington D.C. to Santa Fe and on Oct. 9 we hosted a welcome picnic where he had the chance to meet some of our local community members. Our resident teacher, Geshe Sherab, and Ven. Robina Courtin joined us, too! We introduced him to his new home with delicious Mexican food (of course we had red and green chili!)

Many of you already know Ven. Dondrub from the Express Meditations that he leads every week. You may also be interested to learn that he began studying the Dharma at Drepung Loseling Institute in Atlanta in 2008. He took refuge vows from Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa in 2011 and novice monk ordination vows in 2013.
For seven years, Ven. Dondrub served FPMT’s Guhyasamaja Center in Washington DC as spiritual program coordinator and on the board of directors. Since early 2021 he has been working on the spiritual program at The Buddhist Center Thubten Norbu Ling. As center manager, Venerable will oversee the day to day operations at the center, working closely with director, Charmaine Hughes.
“It was very kind of everyone to come for the picnic. I look forward to creating a new home and continuing to develop an increasingly beneficial center for sentient beings.” (Ven. Dondrub)
We feel so fortunate to have Ven. Dondrub here to help grow our center and take care of our members!
