Please join us for a day of meditation and reflection as we try to more deeply familiarize ourselves with the teachings and meditations presented in the ninth module of Discovering Buddhism. Participation is encouraged but only required for those seeking a certificate of achievement for this module. This retreat day is also open to students who have not participated in this module of Discovering Buddhism. Morning Session: 10:00 am to 12:00 PM Lunch Break: 12:00 to 1:30 PM Afternoon Session 1:30 to 3:30 PM Open door, open heart. Donations are always optional.

Being in samsara means being caught up in these delusions and thus helplessly causing ourselves to suffer, being reborn again and again. Eliminating them from our mind is the achievement of nirvana. Students will learn the fundamentals of the Buddhist model of the mind, learning to distinguish between delusions and virtues, and therefore how to stop suffering and its causes.
