This course explores the seven-point mind training (lojong), a practical system for working with difficult emotions and developing compassion. Drawing from Tibetan Buddhist teachings, these methods offer concrete techniques for shifting perspective during challenging moments and cultivating patience with ourselves and others.
The root text for the course was composed by Geshe Chekawa, an 11th-century Tibetan master who compiled these instructions after years of practice and teaching. Geshe Chekawa organized the material into seven distinct points, creating a structured path that moves from preliminary practices through the core training methods. His compilation became the standard version of lojong teachings, condensing essential instructions into memorable slogans meant for daily application.
